Saltshaker Goldcap collected seashells. She stored her collection on beaches all over the world. Saltshaker never minded if people borrowed her shells, but she expected folks to return them promptly and in good condition. Once she was visiting her friend Pamela and saw a large conch shell on the coffee table. Saltshaker picked it up and ran her hand over the polished surface. I am so relieved to get this back, she said. My grandmother found that in Italy years ago, said Pamela. Saltshaker put the shell in her bag.
